Lucy has a degree in Biology and a PhD in microbial ecology along with 7 years experience working on risk assessment of GM crops and sustainable land management. Currently Lucy works in the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
Lucy's mission all her life has been to highlight the need for respect of the earth's resources and to stop burning fossil fuels before irreparable damage is done.
Lucy is passionate about grassroots restoration of the world’s soils and valuing every part of the food web. She finds mindless wasteful greed and excessive consumption of earth’s resources distasteful. Lucy believes that the power to change the world is within us all and that if we are brave we can make major leaps towards a fairer equitable and just planet.
